This video tool presents excerpts of an interview held with the Angolan and Namibian co-chairpersons of the Kunene Permanent Joint Technical Commission (PJTC) in August 2010. A.M. Gomes da Silva (General Director of the Angolan Office for the Administration of the Kunene River Basin GABHIC) and J.S. Iita (Permanent Secretary in the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy MME) discuss various aspects of the integrated and transboundary management of the Kunene River basin.
The tool is illustrated by scenes from the four-part documentary series “Cunene River Hydroelectric Power Scheme Feasibility Study”, produced and directed in 1997 by Doxa Productions, Cape Town, South Africa. This documentary was commissioned by SIDA, the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
